4th Package Sanctions on Iran

"Ministers adopted a new package of sanctions against Iran, targeting those driving the repression. The EU strongly condemns the brutal and disproportionate use of force by the Iranian authorities against peaceful protesters," - The presidency said in a tweet 

These measures are designed not to affect the Iranian people or the Iranian economy, but those responsible for the crackdown.

Among the listed individuals are Hamid Saijadi; Seyyed Mohammed Saleh Hashemi Golpayegani; Hassan Asgari; Hossein Modarres Khiabani; Esmaeil Zarei Kousha; Mohammad Esmail Kowsari; Mostafa Mirsalim; Mohammad Taghi Naghdali; Mousa Ghazanfarabadi; Ahmad Noroozi; Youssef Pouranvari; Brigadier General Ahmad Kadem; Brigadier General Mohammad Nazar Azimi; Abbas Nilfrushan; Moslem Moein; Brigadier General Mohammad Karami; Ali Akbar Javidan and Abbas Azarpendar.

 

Among the entities targeted are Ravin Academy; Samane Gostar Sahab Pardaz Private Limited Company; Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA); Headquarters for Enjoining Right and Forbidding Evil; Imen Sanat Zaman Fara Company; Iranian Special Police Forces; Radis Vira Tejarat Co; 9 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Regional Corps and 3 IRGC Operational Bases.

These restrictive measures consist of an asset freeze, a travel ban to the EU, a ban on exports to Iran of equipment and a prohibition to make funds or economic resources available.
